How to Use This Calculator
- 1
Enter sale price and shipping charged
Type the sale price the buyer will pay for the item. If you charge shipping, enter that amount too — Grailed's 9% commission applies to both. Enter 0 for shipping if you offer free shipping.
- 2
Select your payment scenario
Choose whether you're Stripe-onboarded (recommended) and whether the buyer is domestic (US) or international. Stripe onboarding reduces your fixed processing fee from $0.99 to $0.49 per transaction.
- 3
Add optional profit inputs
Enter what you paid for the item and your actual shipping cost to see your profit and break-even price. These are optional — leave blank to just calculate fees and net payout.
- 4
Use reverse mode to find your listing price
Switch to Find Listing Price mode, enter your target net payout, and the calculator works backwards to tell you exactly what price to list at.
What Each Value Means
- Grailed Commission (9%) (percentage of gross)
- A flat 9% marketplace fee applied to the total buyer payment including shipping. This is Grailed's primary revenue mechanism and applies to every completed sale regardless of item price.
- Processing Fee (percentage + fixed USD)
- A payment processing fee charged in addition to the commission. Varies by Stripe onboarding status and buyer location. Stripe-onboarded domestic: 3.49% + $0.49. Non-Stripe domestic: 3.49% + $0.99. International adds 1–2% to the rate.
- Net Payout (USD)
- The amount deposited into your account after Grailed deducts both the commission and processing fee from the gross buyer payment. This is your actual take-home before accounting for your own shipping costs and item purchase price.
- Break-Even Price (USD)
- The minimum listing price required to cover your item cost, actual shipping expense, and all fees, resulting in zero profit. Anything above break-even is profit.
